Verisec is an international IT security company providing security solutions primarily for the banking and government communities. They were early partners in the Government Gateway project for whom they supplied two-factor-authentication (2FA) technology for the government Employee Authentication Scheme (EAS).
They partnered with DDS to make their 2FA technology an option for agencies using the GWS Identity Federation Service, which underpins all GWS services and is extensible to any GSi based service. This allows DDS to offer 2FA tokens to any group of GWS service users that would want the extra assurance that identity is based on the chip and pin system of something they have and something they know.
